What is lupus?
Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system can attack multiple organ systems. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the form most people mean. Care belongs with clinicians experienced in lupus management.

How this may relate to Alpha-1 (hypothesis)
