Internists
Like Family Physicians, an internist tends to be one of the first professionals when a patient seeks medical care. The difference between the two is that Internists specialize in diagnosing and treating afflictions such as heart disease, cancer, or other specialties. These primary-care doctors treat illnesses, commonly only in adults. Patients are likely to visit them or their family doctor first for any condition. Internists often have advanced training in various subspecialties, like heart disease and cancer.
Example
AAT's capability as a protease inhibitor should be considered an option for the prevention of the metastasis of cancer throughout the body by internists.
