Emergency Medicine Specialists focus on helping stabilize patients who are afflicted with an emergent illness or injury. They help stabilize patient conditions and develop a plan of treatment to lessen their need for critical care. EMS doctor's role is to save lives and to avoid or lower the chances of disability.
